For the ultimate dark liqueur chocolate lover, send the Sarment du Beaujolais from France: a fine dark chocolate shaped like a vine stock and filled with Beaujolais marc liqueur. These exquisite French chocolates will create an unforgettable chocolate experience. They are individually wrapped in foil and packaged in a pretty rectangular box. 18 pieces.
(7.05 oz)

The Sarments du Beaujolais, literally meaning the vine shoots of the Beaujolais wine, pay tribute to the city of Lyon and its surroundings. Both the Rhône and the Saône rivers run down the city of Lyon. But there is a joke that says that Lyon is connected by three rivers, which are the Rhône, the Saône, and the Beaujolais. That is because with its famous Beaujolais wine, Lyon is believed to be the capital of French cuisine. The box shows a picture of the chapelle de Brouilly, a chapel dedicated to the “Vierge aux Raisins”, the Virgin Mary who is supposed to be the guardian of the Beaujolais vineyard. It was built in 1857 on top of Mount Brouilly in order to protect the vineyard against powdery mildew.

Ingredients: sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa, lecithin, marc brandy from Burgundy.
